What to do if you need a rental
Give us a call when you need a Vermont vacation rental. We have houses and condominiums for year round, seasonal, weekend or weekly rental. Our Sugarbush condo rentals are popular, as are our condominium and home rentals in Waitsfield and Warren, Vt. and throughout the Mad River Valley. We take pride in customizing the rental to the customer so if you have special requirements, we will try to find a property to suit.
Winter
Typically, winter rentals run five to five and one half months between November 1 and May 1. Most require the following: 10% down and a lease within a few days. Rents are paid on a schedule if time permits but all receipts are due prior to commencement of the lease. Each owner will require a damage deposit -- typically 10% or more. All utilities will be placed in the tenant's name prior to the rental and there may be deposit requirements from the utility companies. Ask your broker for availabilities of vacation rentals in Vermont's Mad River Valley.
Summer and Fall
Time periods for summer/fall rentals vary. Ask your broker for details. Generally damage deposits are required.
Yearly
Frankly, we wish we had more. This is a very busy ski area and year round housing can be difficult to find. So, plan ahead. Give us as much lead time as you can to find something. A lease, first and last month's rent and a damage deposit are generally required.
Anytime: Give us a call if you want to some skiing or to find a weekend rental for the Triathlon, July 4th, foliage or a wedding. Many owners require a 3 day minimum stay.
Policies:
- Pets are hard to accommodate. Most condominiums don't allow them.
- All of our rentals require a lease.
- Deposit requirements and damage deposits may vary from owner to owner.
- Vermont State Rooms and Meals Tax is due on all rentals of 30 days or less. It is currently 9% (9/07).
